One BCI Falcon 45 motorcoach can displace up to 56 vehicles from crowded highways. That means millions of vehicles off U.S. roads annually, drastically reducing air, ground, water and noise pollution, as well as reducing overall fuel consumption. Motorcoaches give more than 184 passenger miles per gallon, and yield more efficiency per BTU than any other mode of transportation. Motorcoaches use only 946 BTUs per passenger mile compared to 3,890 BTUs for planes and 2,134 BTUs for trains. (Save A Penguin, ABA)

Our CAT C-13 ENGINE is certified EPA 2007 compliant. Which means it meets rigorous new emissions standards to reduce Nitrogen Oxide and Particulate Matter emissions. The Cat C-13 is engineered to give it the flexibility of using either the Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel (ULSDF) or the 20% Biodiesel mix (B20.)

The Cat C-13 engine can use a high concentration of Biodiesel allowing our operators to lower their dependence on fossil fuels by using B20 BIODIESEL which reduces fossil fuel consumption 20% due to the richer 80/20 Diesel to Bio mix ratio.

ULTRA LOW SULFUR DIESEL FUEL (ULSDF) which is used in BCI coaches effectively reduces the Sulfur content from 550 ppm to 15 ppm. This represents a 97% improvement that leads to a significant advance in emissions reductions.

Recent tests conducted by an independent firm in accordance with SAE J1526 Joint TMC/SAE Fuel Consumption In-Service Test Procedure, Type III, measured the EATON ULTRASHIFT TRANSMISSION against a conventional automatic transmission and determined that the UltraShift delivered fuel economy savings from 6-19%, depending on the duty cycle.

BCI coaches are equipped with an EATON VORAD SMARTCRUISE SYSTEM that can increase fuel economy by eliminating unnecessary breaking and accelerating. Maintain safe following distances on the freeway while improving fuel economy and decreasing your carbon footprint all at the touch of a button.

Exhaust systems on BCI coaches utilize a proprietary Clean Gas Induction technology to recycle cooled and filtered gases and air. These gases return to the engine after passing through our DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTERS (DPF) which effectively reduce the emissions of diesel particulate matter or soot by 90%.
